Sixth InterContinental hotel for France
InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the signing of InterContinental Bordeaux – Le Grand Hotel, France. The hotel will be operated under a management agreement with Financière Immobilière Bordelaise.
Opening later in 2015, the hotel will be IHG’s sixth InterContinental Hotels & Resorts property in France.
Located on Place de le Comédie in Bordeaux’s central square, the hotel is situated in the heart of the city’s shops and restaurants.
The historic 130-room property, which dates back to 1776, will be converted from the current Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux & Spa over the following months. The hotels food and beverage will be overseen by the Gordon Ramsey Group as it makes its first excursion into Bordeaux, and will include the fine-dining restaurant Le Pressoir D’Argent, which will serve only seasonal ingredients from the terroir of Bordeaux, along with wines from the region.
Other features include seven meeting rooms, an indoor pool as well as fitness, spa and hammam facilities. The hotel will offer a range of luxurious rooms and suites to suit both business and leisure guests.
