Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch revealed
Worldhotels has launched a new boutique property in London, the Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch, a hotel experience based in the former Old Magistrates’ Court and Police Station.
The Grade II listed building served as a federal establishment from 1903-1996, with renovations carried out to maintain and restore key period features to incorporate into the hotel’s design.
The 182-key hotel is located in both the old and new wings, and is set to feature a 196-seat cinema, a two-lane lane bowling alley with private bar, a 900-capacity events space, luxury spa, Sky Terrace bar, heated indoor pool and fitness centre. Guestrooms are spearheaded by the Shoreditch Sky Terraces, two one-bedroom residences spread out across 60m2 of living space both offering panoramic views of the London skyline, a private bar and mini cinema lounge.
The main bar features three of the original detention cells, whilst the former Courtroom Number 1 now hosts the main casual fine dining restaurant and Courtroom Number 2 has been transformed into an exclusive members’ bar.
