Vogel unveils Mhondoro Lodge, South Africa
New development Mhondoro Game Lodge in Welgevonden has been unveiled within Limpopo Game Reserve, South Africa.
Mhondoro is an on-site resort and safari experience less than three-hours’ drive from Johannesburg, designed and co-owned by Dutch interior designer Myriam Vogel.
The complex features a fusion of local African design and European influences through Vogel’s innovative and contemporary vision. The lodge is limited to 20 guests, housed in deluxe, executive and family suites. A honeymoon suite is also available, complete with private pool and viewing deck.
The Mhondoro Villa provides access to exclusive amenities including a personal chef, butler and housekeeping staff, as well as a private yoga room, gym and heated pool; A game-viewing safari vehicle with personal ranger is also provided.
Mhondoro also offers an indoor playroom and protected outdoor play area where children can enjoy themselves throughout the day and the custom-built ‘Star Deck’ stands as a creative and innovative space from which to stargaze and socialise.
Other features include heated swimming pools and a massage suite with an outdoor spa deck and bath.
Mhondoro will offer intimate encounters with wildlife from an underground waterhole hide, the 65-metre-long concrete tunnel connects to the main lodge, allowing visitors to traverse in complete security.
The Welgevonden Game Reserve stretches across 35,000 hectares in the Waterberg; guided walks with trained game rangers are offered by special arrangement.
