Virgin Hotels has announced plans to open three new properties in 2021 and a further two before the end of 2023, while its development team are also exploring sites in Philadelphia, Glasgow, Cannes and Ibiza.
“As evidenced by our openings this year in these major cities, we are very optimistic about the return of travel despite the tremendous difficulties posed by Covid-19,” says CEO Raul Leal. “We’re not only thinking of the out-of-towner but also focused on providing our unique experience to the communities we call home. By leveraging our exclusive Chamber (room) design, forward-thinking technology, food and beverage offerings, and entertainment, we’re able to ensure a delightful stay while keeping our travellers safe.”
Featured below are just a few of the key properties on the horizon for the growing lifestyle brand.

Virgin Hotels, Las Vegas
Opening in Spring 2021 as part of Curio Collection by Hilton, Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is being developed by JC Hospitality and will comprise 1,504 guestrooms – made up of Chambers, Grand Chamber Suites and Penthouse Suites – a 60,000ft2 casino, and over five acres of poolside space and outdoor event venues set amidst a modern desert landscape. The property will also house a number of dining options, lounges and bars including the brand’s signature Commons Club, and more than 110,000ft2 of meeting areas.

Virgin Hotels, New Orleans

The newbuild is being developed by The Buccini/Pollin Group, while Mathes Brierre Architects and CallisonRTKL Architects are partnering with local firm Logan Killen Interiors on its residential-style design, which will combine colourful, tropical architectural motifs with Virgin's signature aesthetic.

Virgin Hotels, New York City
Becoming the brand’s new flagship when it lands at 1227 Broadway – between 29th and 30th Street – in the Big Apple’s NoMad neighbourhood this Fall, Virgin Hotels New York City is being developed by the Lam Group and features architecture and interior design by Mark Zeff. The building’s first and second floors will house retail, while Virgin will populate the levels above with 463 Chambers plus multiple concept suites, a roofscape pool and several dining outlets, including Commons Club and a rooftop bar.
