Viceroy announces Serbian ski resort
Viceroy Hotel Group has unveiled plans for Viceroy Kopaonik in Serbia’s Kopaonik mountain range, a contemporary 120-key ski resort set to open in 2018. With interiors by Wimberly Interiors and architecture by WATG, the resort draws from the local Suvo Rudiste style, and plays on the surrounding natural landscape.
Dark timber with clean white accenting anchors the scheme, whilst large windows that punctuate expansive open-air spaces capture views in all directions. The property will feature six room spa, two spacious meeting rooms, kids club and après ski lounge.
“As Viceroy continues to position itself as a leader in the international marketplace, we’re excited to bring our signature vibe and hospitality experience to Kopaonik,” explains Anton Bawab, Regional President of Viceroy Hotel Group. “The opening of Viceroy Kopaonik will offer our jetsetting global guests an unexpected alpine experience in a vibrant destination.”
The project marks the second ski destination within the group’s portfolio, and is the result of a partnership between Viceroy Hotel Group and KIP Belgrade, a privately held real estate developer specialising in Central and Eastern European investments.
