Tribe Paris Communal Space

Tribe opens third Parisian hotel

Tribe has announced the opening of its third hotel in Paris and tenth worldwide. Situated in the city’s Saint-Ouen neighbourhood, the boutique hotel comprises 112 rooms, ranging from 18-25m².

Guestrooms incorporate the hotel’s signature colours of electric blue and a warm copper brown, while Maison Malapert’s vision of convergence and contrast also sees elements of concrete left uncovered. To give further structure to the space, exposed surfaces of the building are contrasted with additions of copper, marble and velvet.

Finishing touches to bedrooms include bathroom amenities from Australian celebrity hairstylist Kevin Murphy, luxury bed linen, rain showers and Nespresso coffee makers with plant-based, compostable capsules.

“Like all new hotels, the Tribe Paris Saint-Ouen is in the process of obtaining Green Key International 2023 Certification to contribute to sustainable tourism”, says Jean-Baptiste Martin, Managing Director and co-founder of Suitcase Hospitality. “We are delighted to be sharing this sixth opening in a franchise with Accor and Ennismore.”

At the helm of the site’s design is Michael Malapert, whose theme centres around lines and stripes. “It interests us because of its very graphic visual,” the designer explains. “But also because it can echo all kinds of very diverse references; it can be used in the light fittings, on the walls and in the layout, and it can be inspired by designs in modern art, tribal art and pop art.”

Malapert’s designs extend to the hotel’s communal spaces, including the Social Hub, a 203m² co-working space which transforms from a café in the day to a low-alcohol cocktail bar in the evening. Guests are also able to taste local produce at the Grab & Co restaurant, open 24/7 and serving finger food from a short menu.

Further communal spaces include a 70m² green terrace which hosts yoga and pilates, and lawns for traditional games of boules.
