Touriste’s Hôtel Beauregard arrives in Paris
French hotel group Touriste has launched Hôtel Beauregard – the fifth property in its portfolio of Parisian hotels. The new development will mark the group’s first venture to the left bank of the Seine.
Located in the 15th arrondissement, Hôtel Beauregard sits in an elegant six-storey Haussman building. With plenty of guestrooms offering views of the Eiffel Tower, the opening is billed by its interior designer Chloé Nègre as a quintessentially Parisian experience, “a hotel I would dream of if I were a tourist travelling to Paris”.
For Nègre’s second collaboration with Touriste, the designer has chosen to marry classic and contemporary influences. Upon entry, a fresco in the lobby by artist Pauline Leyravaud depicts a trompe-l’oeil sky. Meanwhile, across the 38 guestrooms, Touriste’s signature tongue-in-cheek design style sees Parisian clichés carefully integrated into the spaces, with “I Love Paris” crests embroidered onto the headboards in guestrooms. Each of the six floors of the building has its own colour palette, featuring unique touches like tapestries designed by Pinton and grid carpets inspired by French garden trellises. Custom-made floral lamps – part of recurring nods to the ’70s across the property – and heart-shaped chairs add another layer of character to guestrooms.
In the bathroom, striped walls are inspired by artist Daniel Buren’s minimalist work, while recycled materials are used in the taps. “Taking an environmentally friendly approach has always played an important part of all of Touriste’s projects, but we have made it a particular focus for Hôtel Beauregard,” explains Nègre.
Vintage finds from across France make up much of the furnishing – all of which has been manufactured in Europe – including a rare chair by architect Mario Botta and an undulating bench inspired by Pierre Paulin in the breakfast room. The airy bistro-style breakfast room, seating up to 30 guests, is open throughout the day for a range of occasions.
Adrien Gloaguen, founder of Touriste comments: “Our ambition with Touriste has always been to welcome travellers in the greatest possible setting, with hotels designed by the best interior designers at the fairest prices. We have been lucky to work with some incredibly talented creatives and we love to see how different designers approach the hotels. They all put their own personal stamp on them, making every project completely unique.”
The opening of Hôtel Beauregard follows Touriste’s recent successes with Hotel Les Deux Gares, Hotel Bienvenue and Hotel Panache. 2023 will also see Touriste add two further properties to its collection – Hôtel de la Boetie designed by Beata Heuman, and Hôtel Château d’Eau designed by Necchi Architecture.
