The Sleep Event announces new strategic partnership with Sleeper Magazine
UBM Live Built Environment, the organiser of The Sleep Event, has announced a new strategic partnership with Sleeper Magazine, designed to cement the event’s status as Europe’s leading gathering of hotel design professionals.
As part of the new strategic partnership Sleeper Magazine has re-confirmed its commitment to the Sleep Event and will continue as its Official Media Partner; likewise the Sleep Event will be the Official Partner of the European Hotel Design Awards.
Sleeper Magazine will also reacquire the European Hotel Design Awards from UBM. The awards, now in their 16th year, are well established as Europe’s premier celebration of hotel design and architecture.
Sleeper Magazine will take over the sales, marketing and operation of the European Hotel Design Awards with immediate effect, in advance of the glittering awards ceremony at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge on Tuesday 19th November 2013. A new dedicated website www.europeanhoteldesignawards.com has been launched for the event.
Sleep Brand Director, Kali Nicholson, comments: “It has been our great pleasure to develop the European Hotel Design Awards into such a prestigious event over the past five years. The Awards are the industry’s way of celebrating the very best in cutting-edge hotel design and we are delighted to have seen the awards grow in both stature and reach in recent years. We thank the industry and our sponsors for their consistent support and look forward to continuing our committed relationship with the industry and Sleeper Magazine to ensure that the Sleep Event and the European Hotel Design Awards provide the very best opportunities to the hotel design community.”
Sleeper Editor, Matt Turner, adds: “We are delighted to commit to our continuing support of The Sleep Event under UBM’s ownership, and equally thrilled to have the opportunity to build on UBM’s successful development of the European Hotel Design Awards over the past five years. Sleeper Magazine has enjoyed a close partnership with the European Hotel Design Awards for over a decade and we are now looking forward to working with all those involved in the event to ensure its continued success.”
Following the European Hotel Design Awards ceremony, The Sleep Event will take place at the Business Design Centre in London from Wednesday 20th – Thursday 21st November 2013. It attracts over 3,000 visitors to London each year to view products and services from over 150 exhibitors, as well as innovative show features such as the Sleep Hotel ‘catwalk of hotel design’.
