The Grove to unveil further renovations by Martin Hulbert Design

Hertfordshire hotel and spa The Grove will unveil its latest renovations, overseen by Martin Hulbert Design, in Spring 2023.

Set amidst 300 acres of countryside, The Grove – the former home of the Earls of Clarendon – has a rich history that dates back to the 1500s. Its main site houses 214 guestrooms, while its new refurbished mansion will be home to nine signature suites and 16 guestrooms.

The renovation – the final phase of an extensive three-year refurbishment – will see the reimagined interiors of suites blend antique and contemporary elements, spotlighting original Georgian features like mouldings, ornate fireplaces and curved bay windows with views over the surrounding landscape.

Bridging the gap between the house and its gardens, Martin Hulbert Design has chosen three colour schemes for the suites: terracotta, blue and green. Each suite features bespoke details sourced and made in the UK, as well as a range of antiques. Original wooden flooring will be restored, alongside marble bathrooms and working fireplaces.

Together with revealing its renovations, the hotel is also set to launch Bamford at The Grove, a sustainable body and skincare brand. Products will be used within The Grove’s newly refurbished Sequoia Spa, as well as in all rooms, suites and communal areas.

The Grove will continue to offer guests a range of restaurants, a kitchen garden, heated outdoor pool, and ‘beach’ area alongside its existing rooms and suites.
