The Gantry, a 291-room luxury hotel spanning 17 floors in East London, has outlined details of what guests can expect when it opens its doors in summer 2020.
Boasting a silhouette inspired by New York’s iconic Flatiron Building, The Gantry will be located at 40 Celebration Avenue, directly in front of Stratford International station. Led by Glasgow-based studio ICA, the design of the hotel, which is set to become the fourth property within the Curio Collection by Hilton in London, draws inspiration from industrial East London in the Victorian era and Stratford’s long history of train-building.
The property will incorporate a ground-floor artisan food market, a restaurant and cocktail bars with open-air terraces and a flexible event space. It will also feature the highest rooftop bar in East London on the 18th floor, which is set to play host to a variety of top live-music acts and DJs.
The Gantry will be managed by Saurabh Kukreja, who joins from Renaissance Pattaya Resort & Spa in Thailand.
ICA is project architect and interior designer on the scheme.
