The Colony Palm Beach celebrates 75th anniversary with redesign
The Colony Palm Beach is celebrating its 75th anniversary with a design makeover and a series of collaborations across the worlds of interiors, wellness and fashion. Passed down through two generations of the Wetenhall family, the ‘Pink Paradise’ has been transformed by its new owners, who teamed up with leading design partners to take the hotel into its next design era.
Remaining mindful of the history and style that made The Colony Palm Beach the hideaway of choice for guests from Frank Sinatra to the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, the Wetenhalls worked with Kemble Interiors to breathe new life into all 79 rooms and suites, as well as the lobby, where an exclusive collaboration with De Gournay now takes centre stage.
Farrow & Ball, meanwhile, were tasked with creating a modern take on The Colony’s signature pink – the result of which is a fresh powdery hue that brings the property into the 21st century.
Two of the hotel’s beachside private villas have also been reimagined courtesy of Mark D Sikes, with more design collaborators to be added to the roster in the new year.
