Sofitel expansion continues as group announces three new addresses in Asia Pacific
The properties are located in Wellington, Bali and Shenyang respectively.
“These three new addresses are a perfect illustration of the Sofitel target strategy,” said Robert Gaymer-Jones, CEO of Sofitel Worldwide. “With unique positioning, based on our French roots and close collaboration with famous architects and designers, we are gaining increasing interest from investors, due to the distinction and the successful repositioning of Sofitel in the luxury hotel business.”
The Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort in Bali, a lavish beachfront retreat in BTDC Nusa Dua, is set to open in September 2013. Comprising 415 rooms and 17 private villas, the hotel will also feature a ballroom, five meeting rooms, three restaurants, a bar and lounge and wellness facilities.
Meanwhile the Sofitel Wellington, the third Sofitel in New Zealand and the first in the nation’s capital, is set to be up and running by 2014. Within walking distance of Parliament House and The Papa Museum of New Zealand, the property will boast a ground-floor restaurant showcasing the best local produce from the surrounding Hawkes Bay, Malborough and Martinborough regions.
The luxurious Sofitel Shenyang Lido will feature 590 guestrooms and suites, four restaurants, two bars, two ballrooms, five meeting rooms, a Spa, fitness center, swimming pool and squash court. It will also have an executive lounge, complemented by a fully equipped business center.
The hotel will be closed for renovation over the coming year and brought into line with Sofitel standards including the hotel exterior, guest rooms, restaurants, as well as MICE facilities. All renovation work is set to be completed in early 2014.
