SO/ Maldives opens at the archipelago’s first multi-island leisure destination
Crossroads Maldives, the archipelago’s first multi-island leisure destination, is now fully open, following the launch of SO/ Maldives.
The nine-island project is set between the South Malé Atoll and Emboodhoo Lagoon, with its layout inspired by the Maldives’ maritime history as a waypoint at the centre of the world, and designed in the spirit of an island village where travellers can rest and recharge. The destination is home to three resorts, a 30-berth quay and a Hard Rock Café outpost.
The most recent opening, the launch of SO/ Maldives marks the completion of Crossroads Maldives. Nestled on an idyllic private island, the Eco-ID-designed resort comprises a statement collection of 80 beachfront and over-water villas, each complete with a private pool and deck offering panoramic views of the Emboodhoo Lagoon. The property is also home to a serene wellness camp and spa, plus Lazuli, a bohemian beach club offering a poolside dining menu, cocktails and laidback beats from sunrise to sunset. SO/ Maldives joins Saii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton and Hard Rock Hotel Maldives, which have been welcoming guests since September 2019.
Saii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton captures the essence of the Maldives with down-to-earth design and over fourteen dining destinations. The property comprises 198 bright and stylish rooms, including overwater villas and suites with pools and direct beach access. Saii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection is also home to Lèn Be Well, the first free-standing double-storey Maldives spa and wellness complex.
Meanwhile, Hard Rock Hotel Maldives stays true to its identity with music flowing through every corner. The 178-villa resort offers signature Hard Rock Sound of Your Stay amenities, including an in-room menu of Fender guitars and a water slide check-in experience.
