sbe has brought its SLS Hotels & Residences brand to Mexico with the opening of a 45-key property in the heart of Novo Cancun. Developed in collaboration with Related Group – a long-term partner of SLS, which developed ten of its existing projects – along with Mexican developers Inmobilia and U-Calli, the new outpost marks the sixth SLS hotel, with 17 additional sites planned globally, including in Dubai and Puerto Madero.

Key features and amenities of the development include 250 metres of beachfront, a beach club and marina, as well as an 18-hole Tom Weiskopf-designed golf course, over 100 stores and boutiques, and 16 cinemas. In addition, specialists from Ciel Spa provide luxury spa treatments, including endermologie, massages and anti-aging facials, across four indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, while chef Jose Icardi’s serves up his imaginative Argentinian fusion cuisine at Leynia, one of the property’s various culinary offerings.

The opening also marks sbe and Accor’s first international partnership with automaker Lincoln, as the three brands collaborate on over ten properties in the USA. As such, guests have access to a Lincoln house car programme that offers Lincoln Navigators for transportation to and from locations in close proximity.
