Six Senses reveals Loire Valley resort

Six Senses Hotels Resorts and Spas has announced plans to open a new resort in Loire Valley, France, in 2022.

Set within a UNESCO World Heritage region, the development includes 88 guest suites and villas situated in the woodland landscape; and a further 70 residential villas for private ownership. Elsewhere on the resort, a new 18-hole golf course will be joined by further sports, social and spa facilities. The resort will offer numerous dining options including an all-day restaurant and lounge bar that will reflect the traditions of the region in taste and style. An additional speciality restaurant will offer a menu that reflects the Eat With Six Senses principles of sourcing natural, local and sustainable ingredients.

The Six Senses Spa will also include a medicinal garden, main organic kitchen garden and Earth Lab – the centre for guests to learn about the project’s conservation initiatives.

In addition to event spaces within the chateau, a meeting and conference centre and outdoor meeting facilities will also be created to host pop-up activities. The resort will additionally enlist an experience team to arrange visits to explore the full region.

President of Six Senses, Bernhard Bohnenberger, comments: “Six Senses Loire Valley is being designed with our sustainability values at its heart and will appeal to experience seekers, nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts looking to get up close with this region’s exceptional beauty, culture and history.”
