Racing circuit Silverstone is opening an immersive trackside hotel in Spring 2024.
Escapade Silverstone will comprise 60 residences and a Clubhouse sitting in pole position on the racing circuit, with sightlines of nine corners and two high speed straights.
Interiors have been designed to embody a warm but industrial motorsport aesthetic that spans across residences, the Clubhouse and additional amenities. “The Clubhouse provides guests, drivers and their teams the chance to come off the track, power down and connect with like-minded individuals,” says Stephen Nash, General Manager of Escapade Silverstone. “The space celebrates Silverstone’s rich heritage and elevates its innovative future.”
The residences at Escapade Silverstone have been designed by UK-based Twelve Architects, with the “unique articulation, form and appearance of the front-row residences… inspired by the notion of ‘slipstreaming’, where a vehicle follows closely behind another vehicle, travelling in its slipstream and awaiting an opportunity to overtake,” explains Lorraine Stoutt Griffith, the studio’s Director.
The Clubhouse’s ground floor offers a driver-focused gym, swimming pool, sauna and treatment room. Climbing the stairs to the first floor – home to a restaurant, bar, private dining room and roof terrace – guests will find floor-to ceiling views of the track through windows angled to prevent glare and maximise viewing integrity. The restaurant, led by Head Chef Adam Bateman, will offer food and beverage that channels British spirit, while global influences will nod to the international nature of the Escapade community.
A range of artwork will be showcased across the Clubhouse – curated by Renata Fernandes, founder of Sleeping with Art, and intended to spotlight established and up-and-coming artists, including ex-racing drivers like Stefan Johansson. “Escapade Silverstone is an open space to showcase interpretations of speed and the sensations of racing as well as the beautiful forms and materials found in motorsport,” says Fernandes.
