Seven Tides to bring Dukes to Dubai

Dubai-based luxury property developer and holding company Seven Tides has unveiled its newest project, the Dukes Oceana Dubai hotel and residences, located on Palm Jumeriah.

The first international property for the Dukes Collection brand, which has a flagship hotel in London, will be a 273-key, five-star hotel and adjacent residences and is scheduled to be handed over by Q1 2016.

Centrally located on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, just ten minutes from Dubai Marina and Sheikh Zayed Road, the resort and residential community aims to add a distinctly English flavour to the city’s hospitality offering.

“With this launch we are bringing quintessential British charm and style to the UAE and blending it with cosmopolitan luxury to create a unique residence and hotel situated in the heart of Dubai’s most desirable island community, Palm Jumeirah,” commented Abdulla bin Sulayem, CEO, Seven Tides.

The luxury hotel will offer high end leisure and entertainment facilities including a stunning private beach, indoor pool, and outdoor infinity pool plus state-of-the-art gym, along with a number of restaurants.

Guests can choose from Great British Restaurant, serving modern British brasserie-style cuisine, a traditional fish and chips café located on the promenade and overlooking the Dubai Marina and JBR, a top floor Asian restaurant with views over the palm, Dukes Bar for signature cocktails, the Champagne Lounge, and the al fresco Cigar and Coffee Lounge.

The Dukes hospitality extends across the executive lounge, private business suites and conference rooms that have been created to offer tailor-made spaces for gatherings or celebrations.

“The residences will be launched on 14 April 2015 at a lunch for VIP guests, with the show apartments open for viewing to the general public the same evening,” continued bin Sulayem. The 227 studio and one-bedroom apartments that comprise Dukes Oceana Dubai residences are targeted at the regional and international investment community, with Seven Tides guaranteeing a return on investment of 10% per annum for the first five years.

Deborah Dhugga, Dukes Managing Director concluded: “We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring the Dukes brand to an exciting city like Dubai, which is rich in culture, art, and sophistication. There is a missing piece in the Dubai hotel market for something quintessentially British, and Dukes is a British gem which will certainly fill this gap.”
