Sandblu Santorini opens its doors
Sandblu Santorini has opened its doors, nestled at the foothills of Thira Mountain.
The hotel comprises 27 rooms, 22 suites and two villas, each filled with plenty of natural light and showcasing soft colour palettes. A number of the property’s accommodation offerings also feature private pools.
Dining is a centrepiece of the guest experience at Sandblu Santorini. Platea, open for breakfast and lunch, serves Mediterranean cuisine and features a live cooking area where dishes are prepared à la minute with fresh ingredients. Another culinary highlight is specialty dining venue, Apnea, serving up modern Greek dishes and fresh seafood. For a refined selection of wines, bar Aroma features an extensive collection of local and international labels. Finally, Stari Bakery, provides continental breakfast options in the form of pastries and artisanal coffee.
The resort’s spa, Aurora, in collaboration with brands 111 Skin and ESPA, offers a broad spectrum of wellness and beauty treatments. The fitness centre, outfitted with Technogym equipment, is connected to multiple pools to cater to a number of preferences. Guests can unwind at Blu, the main infinity pool, while the spa also houses an indoor pool. For those seeking retail therapy, luxury boutiques carrying fashion, accessories, jewellery and eyewear are situated nearby.
“Our resort sets a new benchmark for luxury stays in Santorini, offering facilities and activities that delight guests of all ages,” says Leonidas Anagnostou, General Manager of Sandblu Santorini. “We aim to have our guests experience the island like locals, embracing an authentic, craftsman-like vibe. The team and I are incredibly excited to welcome our first guests and provide them with memories they will treasure forever.”
