Saco announces Treves & Hyde
Leman Locke, the design-led aparthotel concept by Saco, will introduce Treves & Hyde by Hyde Restaurants to the property this October.
Located in London’s East End, Locke by Saco will combine the autonomy, comfort and convenience of a serviced apartment with the status, personality and social immersion associated with the lifestyle hotel experience.
Treves & Hyde is designed to serve as a neighbourhood oasis, and will evolve throughout the day, offering healthy breakfasts in the morning and vibrant cocktails in the evening. Downstairs will open this October, followed by the main bar and restaurant later in the year.
With a bar and terrace on the ground floor, an architecturally designed spiral staircase will lead to the first floor restaurant and bar, and triple aspect floor to ceiling windows will aim to create a light and airy retreat.
The restaurant will aim to cultivate a Scandinavian inspired atmosphere, with light woods, soft colours and natural foliage striving to create a welcoming sanctuary from the bustling city outside. The kitchen will serve food prepared using local and organic produce where possible, and guests can expect breakfast menu items including Burford Brown folded eggs with truffle and field mushrooms, homemade hung yogurt, Paleo granola and tree-ripened mango.
For lunch through to dinner, the regularly changing menus will include a range of raw food specialising in tartares and ceviche’s, flat-breads with fresh toppings and combination bowls including black cod with kale and brown rice or Hereford paprikash with red cabbage and buttered noodles.
The bar will offer a range of craft beers, eclectic artisan wines and tasteful cocktails. Bar snacks will include Black Spot pork crackling straws with Bramley sauce, arancini with a melting Tallegio centre and dry-rub braised ribs.
Open throughout the year, weather permitting, the terrace will feature an American smoker and Argentinian grill offering items such as slow-cooked brisket, smoked lobster rolls and buttermilk wood-roasted chicken, with the menu changing regularly to reflect the local produce’s seasonality. In 2017 the restaurant will host regular collaborative events with up and coming chefs. Already confirmed are Masterchef 2016 finalists Billy Wright and Jack Layer.
Ben Harper, Commercial Director for SACO The Serviced Apartment Company comments, “Our partnership with Treves and Hyde is one example of how Leman Locke by SACO continues to innovate in the serviced apartment sector – by blending the best hotel experience with the freedom and space of serviced apartment living. We are working with new and existing clients to target a new type of “modern traveller” who seeks a more authentic, local experience whether in town for a night or a few weeks.”
