Sabi Sabi completes lodge renovations with new Amber Villa
Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve has transformed its Amber Suite into a brand-new private villa. One of the largest in the Sabi Sabi collection, Amber Villa spans 240m², comprising two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Brought to life in collaboration with Dakota Design, the unveiling of the Amber Villa marks the final phase of renovation of the Earth Lodge suites. Paired with carefully considered architecture, the villa’s design is softened by the use of natural textures, tactile walls, rich woods and a colour palette taken directly from its surroundings, making it near invisible on the landscape.
Designed for relaxation, the living area in the new villa features plump sofas and day beds, bespoke decorative pieces and a fully stocked bar, as well as a timber desk and swivel chair if needed. Large windows and doors flood the room with light and encourage free movement out to the terrace lounge, where timber fans are positioned above oversized couches and leather hanging sling chairs. Here, guests will also find a plunge pool for use at leisure.
In the main bedroom suite, with its carved Matumi headboard, the bed has been positioned to capture the best bush views. A lounge nook and dressing table sit adjacent to a dressing room, which leads to a small, private fitness area with treadmill, light weights and spinning bike. In the master en-suite, a freestanding bath has again been positioned to capture the best views, as well as a double shower with walls clad in earthy hues and copper accents.
Guests at the Amber Villa are able to enjoy all Earth Lodge facilities at the Sabi Sabi Reserve, including a bar, lounge with shallow pool and a spa.
