Rosewood updates Little Dix Bay
Rosewood Little Dix Bay has provided an update of its current renovation period following six months of extensive refurbishments involving Meyers Davis Studio and Miami-based architecture practice OBMI. A reopening date has also been set for December 2017.
The design team has also begun work on both the Sugar Mill and the Pavilion restaurants. The structures of both buildings remain intact, however the interiors have been stripped out, to accommodate new designs and concepts.
In terms of accommodation, when complete the renovation will reduce the overall number of guestrooms at the resort from 95 to 79, to include two Beach Houses and new Two Bedroom Suites with direct beach access.
Elsewhere, on the western side of the resort there will be seven new One Bedroom Suites with plunge pools. This area of the resort will be set slightly back from the beach and will see the addition of new terraces with individual plunge pools.
Meyers Davis are currently leading the renovations and overseeing the overall design concept, whilst OBMI are managing the new structure of the Beach Grill and the remodel of the resort’s guestrooms and suites. Together, these agencies aim to ensure that Rosewood Little Dix Bay honours Laurance S. Rockefeller’s original vision of a luxurious hideaway set amidst the pristine backdrop of Virgin Gorda.
