Rosewood launches winter villas
Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco has announced that, for the first time, part of its estate will be open to guests throughout the winter months, with ten luxury villas available from 27 November – 12 April.
Located in the scenic UNESCO World Heritage Site of Val d’Orcia, the villas are restored 17th and 18th century farmhouses, and will offer artisanal furnishings and modern comforts, including full-service kitchens, Tuscan-style fireplaces and accommodation for up to 12 guests.
“Although many travellers find themselves planning visits to Tuscany in the summer months, the Italian countryside is truly a magical wintertime destination with a number of vibrant seasonal activities and festivals,” comments Davide Bertilaccio, Managing Director of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco. “With the Winter Villa Escape, we are putting the best of Tuscany’s winter delights at our guests’ fingertips, while providing a cozy home-away-from-home for guests to celebrate the holiday season.”
The properties will also include a curated collection of immersive programming and luxury service elements, including a stock of locally sourced groceries, the assistance of a dedicated concierge and a selection of coordinated activities in the surrounding area. Guests will also have access to the on-site winery for tours and tasting sessions, as well as Castiglion del Bosco’s Golf Club, Italy’s only private golf club.
