Rezidor opens Radisson Blu Nantes in converted 19th century courthouse

Transformed by architect Jacques Cholet (DTACC) and interior designer Jean-Philippe Nuel, the hotel’s design showcases many of the building’s original features with a bold contemporary twist. The 142 guestrooms, including 15 junior suites and five suites, feature brown hues and white furniture exclusively designed for the space, combined with decorative art iconographies reminiscent of the masterpieces on show in the city’s museums.

The hotel’s main restaurant “L’Assise” is located in the former court room, having been re-invented as the space where Frédéric Laval combines traditional and modern recipes from the region. The former trial judge section now serves as the restaurant’s wine cellar. In the evening, the upper walls of the room are transformed into a projection screen creating a modern ambience for diners.

The hotel also features six meeting rooms ranging in size from 37-76m², a spa, hammam, gym, and an historical hotel lobby and a unique space on the mezzanine level for hosting events in this unique setting.
