Qbic Manchester, the newest addition to Qbic’s portfolio, is set to open in March 2021.
Located on Deansgate in the heart of the city centre, the 261-key property features pet-friendly rooms with king-sized beds, a restaurant, a gym, five private meeting rooms and high speed WiFi.
The brand’s philosophy is reflected in the hotel’s sustainability policies – all Qbic properties feature only LED and energy efficient lighting, roof solar panels providing a constant source of green energy and showers featuring an eco-friendly design that creates a water-efficient high pressure shower. The hotel also offers the incentivised ‘Qbic Coin’ concept, which rewards guests who don’t need their rooms cleaned daily with free drinks.
The hotel’s food and beverage offering – Motley – is a contemporary relaxed dining area featured in every Qbic property. The 180-cover all-day restaurant serves low mileage and in season produce, as well as seasonal specials conceived for sharing with a ‘Waste Not’ section that utilises leftovers. Featuring karaoke and private dining rooms, Motley is ideal for parties, celebrations and corporate gatherings with an outside seating area accommodating up to 70 people.
Qbic Manchester has also launched a competition to find 100 testers to sample the hotel ahead of the official launch. Each tester will receive a complimentary stay during the hotel’s soft-launch period, in exchange for sharing feedback on their experience with the Qbic team.
The hotel is currently recruiting for 42 roles as it heads towards its launch and will provide employment for 62 once fully operational.
“Supporting our local communities is at the core of the Qbic Hotels ethos and we are proud to be creating employment opportunities in the Manchester area with our plans to recruit over 50 roles locally,” comments Jon Walters, Operations Director. “It is a difficult time for the hospitality industry globally and locally, but we are confident better times lie ahead and that Qbic Manchester will be at the heart and soul of those better times in this fantastic city.”
Founded in Amsterdam, Qbic is a boutique hotel concept with a green ethos and a focus on giving back to the community. Qbic Manchester joins hotels in London, Brussels and Amsterdam. The brand places a clear emphasis on design-led places that welcome the unconventional.
