Prince Hotels & Resorts launches in Nagoya
Prince Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Nagoya Prince Hotel Sky Tower, set to occupy floors 31-36 of the newly constructed Global Gate building in Nagoya.
Located in the Sasashima Live 24 region, the 170-key hotel features an exclusive club lounge, a restaurant, gym and a business centre. Guestrooms will offer views of the historic city, coastline and port of Nagoya.
The property will offer a curated programme of tours of the Nagoya Castle, an ancient fortress built in 1602 under the command of the Tokugawa family, where replicas of the living and working quarters provide examples of Japanese craftsmanship.
The nearby Tokugawa Art Museum also showcases 1,000 artifacts including ancient samurai tools and armour. Ancient artifacts and historical structures sit adjacent to contemporary Nagoya, blending historic and contemporary Japan in a city now regarded as a hub of international exchange and business.
As the fourth most populated city in the country, Nagoya is set to rival other major cities such as Osaka and Tokyo as Japan’s business capital, with infrastructural developments including a Maglev train due to launch in 2027.
