PGA Catalunya Resort expands

PGA Catalunya Resort has announced that a new five-star hotel is set to open on the property in June, following a €33 million investment.

The 149-room Hotel Camiral, will be the first element of the resort’s €53 million development plan, one which will also see the construction of a vineyard, sports facilities, an equestrian centre, and a recreational lake on the resort’s 300 hectare plot situated in the countryside of Girona.

With interiors designed by Lazaro Rosa-Violán, the hotel will see contemporary architecture combined with a striking urban-chic design scheme, focusing on generous space, comfort and luxury. Hotel Camiral will contain rooms ranging from standard to executive, with views over the award winning championship golf courses and gardens.

Within the hotel will be installed three new dining projects, including the 1477 restaurant, a lounge bistro, and a poolside bar, where the chefs will serve up a mix of Mediterranean and international dishes with a focus on local Catalán cuisine and wine.

For corporate guests, the hotel will provide eight rooms, at 420 capacity each, designed to host anything from board meetings to conferences. These will join the resort’s existing twenty-four hour onsite business centre and nine meeting facilities.

PGA Catalunya Resort and Hotel Camiral will offer families, couples, individuals and businesses a mixture of high-class leisure facilities and authentic local culture. Hotel Camiral is located just 15 minutes from the town of Girona, and 20 from the beaches of Costa Brava.
