Parīlio opens on Greek island of Paros

The 33-key Parīlio guesthouse has opened on the Greek Island of Paros. The location is in close proximity to picturesque fishing villages, hidden swimming coves and pristine beaches. Positioned on Naoussa Bay, Parīlio sits between Kolympithres Beach and the whitewashed fishing village of Naoussa.

The hotel’s architecture, guided by clean lines and simplistic beauty, mirrors that of the block-white Cycladic style typical to the island. Structural motifs, characteristic of the region’s architectural legacy, are incorporated into the design to further evoke a classical feel.

The interior, designed by Stamos Hondrodimos, takes similar inspiration from Cycladic aesthetics. Exposed concrete, terracotta flooring, local marble and carved natural stone are layered with warm wooden accents and set against handmade rugs by Lrnce, bespoke furniture by IDLaboratorium, lighting by Toscot and bedside tables by 101 Copenhagen. By using an earthy, subdued colour palette of white, grey, ivory and sienna, the designers have sought to create soothing spaces that echo the relaxed pace of life on Paros.

Each of Parīlio’s suites, ranging from 30m²-40m²,provide a view over the courtyard, pool or surrounding hillside. The Aurora suites –situated on the ground floor –feature king-sized beds and a private terrace fit with dining areas. The Halo suites –located across the ground and first floors – include king-sized beds, separate living areas and terraces. The Uranus suites feature outdoor Jacuzzis, and the Sun suite has been designed with its own private pool.

The concept for Mr. E. Here – the on-site restaurant – considers the hotel’s location and the island’s culinary traditions. Chef Alexandros Tsiotinis draws from the area’s abundance of produce to create dishes representative of Paros’ distinctive gastronomy. Other on-site facilities include a spa offering a range of different treatments, and a fully-equipped gym.

Hoteliers Kaila and Antonis Eliopoulos opened their first hotel on the island of Santorini twenty-five years ago. Parīlio now marks the fourth property in their portfolio.
