Kerzner International has entered into a resort management agreement with Grivalia Hospitality for One&Only Aesthesis, a 21-hectare beachfront estate set to open its doors in Athens in 2022.

The property will continue strategic growth of One&Only’s European portfolio, following the recent opening of One&Only Portonovi in Montenegro and the announced development of One&Only Kea Island in Greece.

Remaining true to its brand promise, the resort will celebrate the Athenian Riviera whilst providing an intuitive design. A playful return to nature, it will take its inspiration from the azure waters and natural surroundings, offering a modern Greek elegance yet showcasing elements dominant in Greek mythology like fire and water, carved from a palette of natural stone and timber. As with all One&Only properties, the project will offer programming for families with children whilst carefully preserving space for adults only too.

Originally designed by prominent Greek architects, One&Only Aesthesis will be on one of the most cosmopolitan waterfront sites in Athens. From its development in the mid-1950s, the bungalows, beach and club hosted an array of the local and international jet setters. Upon completion, the resort will become a unique year-round destination.”

Like all One&Only resorts, One&Only Aesthesis will focus on privacy, with the majority of its accommodations being secluded villas with private pools. The brand’s Villa One will also be introduced for total exclusivity.

The culinary offering meanwhile will be defined by a distinct ethos, energy, design and flavour, which will bring Greece to life through all the senses. A particular highlight of the property along its 1,600 metres of seafront is a nostalgic beach club, providing a chic setting for guests and locals alike from sunrise to sunset.

Following a partnership with health and wellness brand Chenot, the resort will be home to Chenot Spa, offering tailored programmes and treatments scientifically designed to enhance guests’ vitality and optimum health. A fitness centre featuring indoor and outdoor spaces will also be part of the wellness offering.
