Motel One launches in Stuttgart
Motel One Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt has announced its opening in the heart of Stuttgart’s oldest district. The 141-key hotel is located by Wilhelmsplatz underground station, and features an interior design inspired by the area’s mineral springs, thermal baths and wells.
With a central location in close proximity to Cannstatter Wasen, Rosensteinpark and the zoological-botanical gardens of Wilhelma, the property offers guests an affordable luxury experience with direct transport links to the rest of the city, all tied together with a carefully considered aesthetic scheme.
The property’s fittings have been sourced from brands including Freifrau, Vitra, Artemide Tolomeo, Loewe, Adilta and Arne Jacobsen, ensuring a high level of comfort and pleasing aesthetics throughout. Guestrooms are equipped with functional and discreet storage spaces, free Wi-Fi, organic shower gels, and a flat screen TV, bringing together comfort, sustainability and style, whilst the bathrooms all feature granite and glass Dornbracht washbasin fittings, as well as a monsoon rain shower.
The reception area welcomes guests with a graphic design featuring mountain scenery, rainfall and minerals, and feature alongside a stone reception desk and Occhio’s falling water lighting concept, expanding on the central theme of nature. The hotel’s One Lounge is decorated with bespoke hanging lights, imagery of the Stuttgart water fountains and an integrated copper drinking fountain. A palette of whites and greys mirror the colours of the regions’ natural landmarks, whilst Motel One’s signature shade of turquoise is also incorporated into the scheme.
