Mondrian reveals plans for France debut
Ennismore has revealed that Mondrian Cannes, the first Mondrian hotel in France, will open in March 2023.
Transforming the site of the town’s oldest luxury hotel, formerly Grand Hotel Cannes, the property will comprise 75 guestrooms including three suites, Hyde Beach Cannes – which has played host to some of the world’s most famous festivals, fashion and film stars – and a yet to be announced culinary programme . The hotel is also the only development on the Boulevard de La Croisette with its own gardens – measuring some 50,000 feet – and direct access to the rue d’Antibes shopping district.
“We’re excited to introduce the Mondrian brand to France with this stunning hotel in Cannes, poised to be the cultural epicentre of artistic design and culinary innovation at the heart of the French Riviera,” says Chadi Farhat, Brand Chief Operating Officer for Mondrian at Ennismore. “The hotel’s iconic history, combined with modern day elegance and artistry, will offer the ideal seaside retreat for guests seeking the very best of the Côte-d’Azur.”
General Manager Hugues Raybaud comments: “We look forward to welcoming this new hotel. Its innovative and vibrant concept will perfectly fit into our new living and sharing venues, which will delight Cannois and all our guests.”
The Mondrian brand is rooted in culture, design and artistry, which can be felt throughout every airy interior space of the Cannes property.
