Melia Hotels International announces two new hotels in Zhengzhou, China
Innside by Melia is set to open in June 2015, with Melia Zhengzhou following in January 2016. The hotels sit in a complex of three buildings, one for Innside and the others devoted to the Melia hotel.
Together the properties will bring 933 rooms and MICE facilities, including a grand ballroom for over 900 people, and other multi-functional meeting rooms. The two brands fit the needs of the city, which experienced a 12% GDP growth in 2012, with the airport receiving over 10 million visitors.
The announcements reflect the company’s expansion focus in China. We are proud and excited to bring our brands to this quickly developing city, as a part of our expansion strategy in the main Chinese destinations.”
