La Fantaisie Guestroom

Martin Brudnizki-designed La Fantaisie opens in Paris

Martin Brudnizki has made his debut in the Parisian hotel scene with new opening La Fantaisie. The property finds home in the heart of the city’s ninth arrondissement, bringing the designer’s renowned playfulness and eccentricity to Paris.

Centred around a courtyard garden that pays homage to the hotel’s location on Rue Cadet – named after brothers and gardeners Jacques and Jean Cadet – the new opening comprises 73 rooms and suites, designed to provide a haven from the urban bustle outside.

Drawing on nature as the primary inspiration, the hotel’s colour palette consists of soft greens, warm yellows and coral touches. Guestrooms feature richly-upholstered seats, headboards and ornate walls and ceilings covered in floral wallpaper. Outdoors, canopies, parasols and outdoor furniture encourage guests to take a break under Parisian skies.

Food and beverage at La Fantaisie is helmed by triple Michelin-starred chef Dominique Crenn, who is leading offerings at the hotel’s zero-waste flagship restaurant Golden Poppy.

Meanwhile, La Fantaisie’s spa offers holistic wellness facilities inspired by ancient healing rituals and the power of underground springs, with design details including armchairs upholstered in soft green fabric and mosaics depicting sprouting plants.
