Mama Shelter to launch five new hotels in 2021

Mama Shelter has announced plans to launch five new hotels from Summer 2021, including properties in Rome, Lisbon, Bahrain, Dubai and a third in Paris. All will exude the brand’s philosophy of La Dolce Vita.

Mama Roma will open in July in the Italian capital’s Prati district and comprises 217 guestrooms; an osteria serving a mixture of Mama’s signature flavours and traditional Roman cuisine; a rooftop restaurant and bar with views of the Eternal City; and Mama Shelter’s first ever spa with indoor pool, sauna and Hammam.

Close to Lisbon’s Avenida da Liberdade meanwhile, Mama Lisboa is arriving in November and will house 130 guestrooms along with a rooftop offering a bird’s-eye view of the Tagus river. An all-day restaurant, with an interior patio and brick oven pizzeria, will also serve Mama’s famous pizzas to guests and locals alike.

Mama Shelter’s third Parisian address, Mama Paris La Défense, will debut in November too. Opening in the city’s finance district, it will feature 211 rooms, two all-day restaurants, a sports bar, a coffee shop and an arcade room. A trademark rooftop with a vistas over Paris and its monuments will round out the offer.

The group’s last two openings of the year will take it to the Middle East. Bringing affordable hospitality and an edgy style to Dubai’s trendy Business Bay area, the 197-key Mama Dubai is just a stone’s throw from the desert, water sports, cultural activities and shopping centres. The idea of a resort in the middle of the city takes inspiration from the Trigano family origins: founders of Mama Shelter and co-founders of Club Med.

Finally, Mama Bahrain will become a new social hub in Manama’s financial district, well-known for its authentic food and lively atmosphere. Encompassing views of glass towers and skyscrapers shimmering over the emerald green waters and lush palm groves, Mama Bahrain will comprise 160 rooms in true Mama style.
