Mama Shelter has announced plans to add six new hotels to its portfolio by the end of 2024. Each property will pay homage to the local culture, while maintaining the fun and creative characteristics that the brand prides itself on.

Mama Shelter Rennes, France | March 2023

Marking the ninth Mama Shelter in France and the 17th worldwide, the brand’s Rennes property will be home to the first ever Mama Skin Spa. The opening will disrupt the city’s hospitality scene with its first rooftop bar offering views of medieval towers. Located close to Place des Lices and the famous rue de la Soif, the hotel will also comprise 119 rooms, five workshops, a restaurant, a swimming pool and several karaoke rooms.

Mama Shelter Dijon, France | June 2023

Mama Shelter Dijon will feature 120 rooms across five floors, as well as a restaurant serving a mix of local flavours and signature dishes. Another highlight will be the CineMama, the hotel’s very-own private cinema and a petanque court.

Mama Shelter Dubai | Late 2023

The brand’s debut in the Middle East will be home to 197 rooms and 204 apartments, together with a range of dining outlets, a terrace with four swimming pools and an outdoor CineMama. Embodying the idea of a resort in the heart of the city, the design will recall the origins of the Trigano family, who founded the group and co-founded Club Med.

Mama Medellín, Colombia | Early 2024
Situated in the El Poblado district, Mama Medellín will be the first Colombian Mama and comprise 150 rooms, a restaurant and a bar. The property is also set to boast more than 3,000m² of co-working space, 500m² of meeting rooms, and a swimming pool on the first floor of the rooftop.

Mama Shelter Nice, France | June 2024

The group will also head to the French Riviera in 2024 for an opening of in Nice, perched only 600m from the city’s mythical Old Port in the central district of Riquier. The 102-room property will be connected to the rest of the city by tram and train.

Mama Shelter Zurich, Switzerland | November 2024

Rounding out the brand’s plans is a Swiss debut in Zurich. With 178 rooms, the property will be located in the lively shopping district of Oerlikon, known for the Hallenstadion – where concerts and major sporting events take place – the Messe Zürich exhibition centre and the Theatre 11 Zürich, which hosts Broadway shows.
