Mama Shelter, LA opening soon
The Trigano Family’s Mama Shelter is soon to open its newest hotel in Los Angeles.
In 2008, Serge Trigano began the hotel chain in Paris, along with his two sons Jèrèmie and Benjamin. Philosopher Cyril Aouizerate and designer Philippe Starck aided this successful project.
Mama Shelter, Los Angeles aims to maintain the ethos of the Trigano Family by bringing French style to the metropolis. Designed by Thierry Gaugain, recognised as one of the top members of the most recent generation of French designers, the hotel’s primary focus is life, luxury and light.
“Luxury is essential,” says Gaugain, “but it is never present in the obvious. Luxury is a state of mind. It’s like light: you can see it on things, but you can never see light itself.”
The six-storey hotel offers 70 guest rooms each with king-size beds and 27-inch iMacs featuring television, movies, music and the internet.
Mama’s rooftop allows you to take in all the sights of Los Angeles with a near 360° view. It is located blocks away from the Chinese Theatre along the Walk of Fame, as well as countless boutiques and bars, tattoo parlours and record shops, burrito stands and vegan restaurants.
This is the sixth property for The Trigano Family with other properties located in Istanbul, Marseilles and Bordeaux.
