Kristina Zanic designs Croatia debut for Autograph Collection
Autograph Collection Hotels has made its debut in Croatia with the opening of The Isolano, Cres, Autograph Collection.
Situated within a lush pine grove overlooking the Adriatic Sea, The Isolano comprises 49 guestrooms and suites, a restaurant with sea views, two outdoor heated pools, expansive wellness offerings and direct beach access.
Inspired by the Adriatic coastline, interior designer Kristina Zanic has imagined a sophisticated yet relaxed design that reflects the essence of Mediterranean living. Harmoniously integrated with the surrounding Mediterranean vegetation, the hotel’s geometric architecture draws on locally-sourced stone from Brac island, while interiors feature a colour palette of white, grey, sand, navy and cognac, mirroring the natural beauty and serenity of the coastline. Local fabrics and artworks meanwhile include art by local painter Solis in the lobby and locally-sourced wool for the menus at Restaurant Moise, strengthening the connection to the island’s culture and heritage.
Each of the hotel’s guestrooms, including four suites, feature private balconies with panoramic sea views, wooden benches crafted by local artisans, and technology-driven amenities such as smart TVs, automated controls for lighting and temperature, and Mobile Key check-in via the Marriott Bonvoy app. Five infinity guestrooms also offer direct access to one of two outdoor heated swimming pools.
The hotel’s dining experiences pay homage to the vibrant culinary heritage of the Adriatic. Chef Aleksandar Kerekes draws on the spirit of nature at Restaurant Moise, honouring local traditions and showcasing the richness of the island.
