K11 Artus reveals Summer 2019 opening date
Asian development firm New World Development has announced that its mixed-use Victoria Dockside development will open in summer 2019. Located on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront and featuring a new luxury serviced apartments and hotel concept, K11 Artus will bring together 287 hotel residences across 14 storeys.
Set within a Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed tower with interiors designed by Andre Fu and his studio AFSO, the project will seek to establish a port fro creative, worldly travellers and guests looking for a combination of local authenticity and luxury. An extension of the K11 lifestyle brand, Artus combines the English word for art with the Latin term ‘domus’ meaning home.
“Artus marks a major milestone for the K11 brand with our expansion into the hospitality sector,” comments Adrian Cheng, K11 Founder, Executive Vice-Chairman and General Manager of New World Development. “Our intention is to reshape the serviced apartment experience by designing private residences that encourage discerning visitors to reflect on profound ideas and pursue their creative passions. More than a place to live, Artus will be a welcoming space for intelligent minds to find inspiration.”
In designing Artus, Fu drew inspirations from the spirit of historical venues where like-minded individuals gathered, imagining the interiors as a contemporary artist’s residence that rejuvenates and inspires. Interiors feature a selection of bespoke vintage-inspired furnishings, handcrafted details and whimsical twists, whilst offering guests open-air waterfront views of the Victoria Harbour.
“Artus will distinguish itself from the corporate, mainstream concept of most serviced apartments, and set a new paradigm for the industry,” says Paul Cunningham, General Manager of Hospitality and Portfolio Management of New World Development. “The residences demonstrate craftsmanship, bespoke experiences, attention to detail, and present unparalleled views of the Victoria Harbour. Combining the convenience of hotels and the comfort of serviced apartments, Artus offers flexible rental plans to accommodate the needs of our guests.”
Dotted along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, the mixed-use project further includes the K11 Atelier office tower; K11 Musea, a new ultra-high-end experiential retail, art, cultural and dining destination, along with other art, design and leisure experiences.
