JW Marriott makes its debut in Germany
JW Marriott has made its debut in Frankfurt with the opening of a 219-hotel in the city’s Zeil shopping area.
Each of the guestrooms and suites feature a pared back colour palette and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer sweeping views of the skyline and River Main, while Marriott has also enlisted Hartwig Ebersbach, one of the most famous painters in Germany, to create 230 abstract works that are placed throughout the property.
“We are delighted to welcome JW Marriott Hotel Frankfurt to our growing portfolio of remarkable hotels,” comments Candice D’Cruz, Vice President – Luxury Brands, Europe, Middle East & Africa at Marriott International. “JW Marriott offers guests service and experiences that are integral to today’s business and leisure travellers and this development will act as a retreat for those visiting this thriving destination.”
JW Marriott Frankfurt embraces the brand’s focus on authentic and sustainable dining experiences with two F&B concepts; located on the first floor, Max on One offers modern French cuisine with an Asian twist in a metropolitan atmosphere, while cocktail and champagne lounge Ember serves an extensive gin and wine list.
Furthering the brand’s commitment to nourishing the body, the property also produces its very own honey from a colony of bees that reside on the rooftop. The honey is served fresh from a honeycomb during the breakfast programme while also being incorporated into dishes prepared during lunch and dinner hours.
The hotel’s fitness centre comprises facilities such as cardiovascular equipment and free weights, while the Spa by JW offers relaxation areas, treatment rooms and access to the indoor swimming pool and sauna.
David Salomon, General Manager at JW Marriott Frankfurt, comments: “We are excited to introduce the JW Marriott brand to Germany. With its location in the heart of Frankfurt, as well as extraordinary service and special finishing touches, JW Marriott Frankfurt brings excellence and redefined luxury to the city.”
