JW Marriott debuts in Goa

Continuing its global expansion, JW Marriott has planted its flag in the coastal Indian state of Goa.

The new 151-room JW Marriott Goa will be located along the coastline of Vagator, Goa, with designs inspired by the location’s rich culture and traditions, interwoven with elements of modern design. Wooden panelling, mother-of-pearl detailing, intricate glassware chandeliers and natural marble and stone water fountains will be found across the property, while the use of neutral colour palettes of grey and light sand, alongside soft lighting, will complement the location’s abundant greenery. The hotel’s guestrooms will feature balconies which open up to ocean views, and suites will boast private plunge pools.

The new hotel will also comprise four F&B venues, including JW Kitchen, an all-day-restaurant with a theatre-style open kitchen; Pérola, a French-style lobby bar; Água Bar and Café, set upon the hotel’s rooftop, beside its infinity pool; and Heliconia, a spot serving Asian fine dining. Many of the seasonal vegetables and herbs used will be grown in the hotel’s JW Garden, where guests will also be welcome to harvest the fresh produce themselves.

As for additional public spaces, JW Marriott Goa will provide the opportunity for holistic treatments at Spa by JW, set to feature Goa’s first and only Turkish and Moroccan hammams, while 18,752ft² of indoor and outdoor event spaces will be available to use, including a 4,607ft² ballroom with outdoor terrace.

“We are delighted to announce the opening of JW Marriott Goa. This opening marks a milestone for Marriott International’s 150th opening in South Asia. It solidifies our commitment in the region and signifies the trust our owners have in us,” says Ranju Alex, Area Vice President for South Asia at Marriott International. “We remain confident in the strength of our brands, our team, and we shall continue to pave the way for aggressive expansion with our strong pipeline of hotels.”
