IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of its first Kimpton hotel in Italy. 

Joining the group’s fast-growing Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio, the property will open in Sicily in the second half of 2025, following a management agreement with Società Turistica Alberghiera Taorminese. 

Nestled in the hilltop town of Taormina on the island’s east coast, the 59-key hotel will harness its heritage whilst embracing Kimpton’s ethos. It will feature destination dining venues, with a breakfast room and bar terrace offering panoramic views bay views, while wellness amenities will include an outdoor Mediterranean garden, 20m swimming pool and a tennis court.

The Kimpton in Sicily will be IHG Hotels & Resorts’ 30th hotel in Italy and joins a portfolio of eight Kimpton hotels across the UK and continental Europe.
