Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel set for 2010 opening
Located on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road adjacent to the Ibn Battuta Mall, the hotel is being developed by Asteco Development Management for Dubai-based holding company Seven Tides. Architecture is by Dar-Al-Handasah.
The hotel features 396 guestrooms and suites and 156 residential apartments, all furnished in line with the Moroccan theme of the hotel inspired by the travels of Ibn Battuta.
The F&B outlets include a Mediterranean restaurant with all-day dining and a show kitchen, and an Indian restaurant offering the exotic flavours of Southern India. The Arabic speciality outlets concentrate on the most popular cuisines in the region and the selection would not be complete without Ibn Battutua’s favourite, the Chinese restaurant. Casual dining is available in the pool bar and daylight flooded lobby lounge and the gourmet shop is the place for freshly baked pastries and breads.
The hotel also offers a health and fitness centre, spa and swimming pool as well as twelve meeting rooms and three ballrooms.
