Ibiza Gran Hotel partners with Sandra Tarruella to reimagine spa
Ibiza Gran Hotel has unveiled its new Open Spa, transformed following refurbishment by Barcelona-based Sandra Tarruella Interioristas.
Spanning over 1,300m², the space is divided into four distinct areas, each designed to cater to different aspects of wellbeing.
The first is Aqua Spa, a comprehensive water circuit that includes heated hydromassage pools equipped with jets, waterfalls and swan necks for targeted therapy. The contrast between hot and cold can be experienced in the ice lounge and contrast path, while guests can also visit a travertine-marbled hammam. The salt-steam breathing room and aroma showers complement the circuit, finished off by a relaxation area complete with water beds.
The second area in the Open Spa is Rituals, where face and body treatments take place in private spa suites. The fitness section meanwhile is home to Technogym equipment, while interiors have been designed to filter in natural light through large windows with garden views. The fourth and final element of the spa experience is beauty, brought to life in its own salon.
“At Open Spa, we believe in nurturing a balance among body, mind and soul to fully enjoy the sensorial richness of a Mediterranean lifestyle,” says Marina Hernández, Assistant Manager of the spa at Ibiza Gran Hotel. “Our goal is to curate an unparalleled wellness journey that enriches the lives of our guests and members, making Open Spa a sanctuary where one can truly revitalize and refresh.”
