Hyatt Regency Sochi officially opens
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Hyatt Regency Sochi, the third Hyatt-branded hotel in Russia. The 198-room hotel offers panoramic city and sea views and will cater to business and leisure guests.
“The opening of Hyatt Regency Sochi marks a significant step forward in expanding our brand presence in Russia, a country that is rapidly becoming a burgeoning business and leisure destination,” said Peter Norman, Senior Vice President, Acquisitions and Development for Hyatt in the Europe, Africa, and Middle East region. “The new hotel will help to redefine the standard for hotels in Sochi, bringing an unprecedented level of quality, service and innovation to the city.”
The newly built Hyatt Regency Sochi is strategically located in the central district of the city alongside the beach promenade, offering idyllic views of the Black Sea. The location provides easy access to the city’s railway station and port, and is only 12 miles from Adler International Airport. It is also a short walk from the main cultural and recreational areas of Sochi.
Points of interest nearby include the Formula 1 track and the beautiful historical part of the city. “We are thrilled to bring the Hyatt Regency brand’s authentic hospitality and world-class facilities to southern Russia, a new part of the country for the brand,” said Jean Francois Durand, general manager of Hyatt Regency Sochi. “The Hyatt Regency brand is all about keeping people connected and energized, which is a perfect fit for the city of Sochi and the travellers that we know will visit this destination.”
The 14-floor, 198-room hotel includes 28 luxury suites, with an upscale range of innovative, modern amenities and services. Each room will have stylish and comfortable interiors – including spacious bathrooms with a full set of amenities. To ensure guests enjoy the stunning views of the Black Sea and the city, each room has floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious balconies that provide spectacular views of the beautiful local scenery.
Hyatt Regency Sochi has more than 16,200ft2 of sophisticated, multi-purpose convention space. This includes a 5,700ft² pillar-free Regency Ballroom with space for 350 guests, as well as a variety of indoor and outdoor venues.
The array of restaurants and bars in Hyatt Regency Sochi cater to a wide range of tastes. The signature restaurant, Bourride, serves simple and authentic dishes including seafood-based Mediterranean cuisine. Passage, the warm and cosy all-day dining restaurant, offers a range of international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The ground floor’s Lounge serves a variety of premium teas and coffee; a wide selection of spirits; and snacks and homemade pastries. The hotel’s bar, Moyama, offers guests an intimate and vibrant place to connect with a selection of wines, spirits and cocktails, as well as an in-house DJ playing modern music late into the night.
