The 300-room hotel has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation to its lobby and bar areas, which complement the guestroom transformation finished in 2009.
Hilton Manhattan East features contemporary accommodations and modern amenities in a 1931 historic neo-gothic tower. In 2007, the National Trust for Historic Preservation deemed the hotel a Historic Hotel of America.
“We are delighted to add this historic property to our collection of more than 530 hotels, which now includes four locations in Manhattan,” said Dave Horton, Global Head, Hilton Hotels brand. “As an intimate retreat in the heart of Midtown, this boutique hotel is a great option for both leisure and business travellers to New York.”
“New York City is a destination for travellers from around the world and we are delighted to be able to offer a new hotel option in the city that bears the trusted Hilton name,” said Louis Llach, Area General Manager for TPG Hospitality, owner and operator of Hilton Manhattan East. “Hilton’s world-class standards for service, products and amenities are an ideal complement to our property and enable us to elevate our guest experience.”
The hotel’s 300 guestrooms are stylishly appointed with custom furnishings in shades of blue and earth tones. Each room includes a 42-inch LCD flat-screen TV, in-room movies, a dual-line telephone, wireless high-speed Internet access, a spacious marble bathroom and generous closets.
