Gürok Group to launch new brand in Turkey
Gürok Group, the force behind Joali Maldives and Joali Being, is set to debut its new brand Bijal Resorts in March 2024.
The brand’s first all-villa resort will open in Turkey’s Antalya province. Designed by Autoban, the 19-villa resort is tucked away amidst expansive grounds, which include a pine forest and pristine beach.
Each villa at Bijal is accompanied by its own private pool within a spacious walled garden, while the property will also be home to a ClubHouse pool and BeachHouse pool, complete with an underwater sound-system. At the ClubHouse, the spa features Turkish baths, a sauna and hammam, as well as three treatment rooms, while a fitness studio is also available.
Michelin-starred chef Theodor Falser has developed the menus at Bijal’s restaurants, which include Italian fine dining at the ClubHouse and informal dining at the BeachHouse restaurant.
The new brand’s motto is ‘we see play everywhere’. Bijal, meaning enlightenment in Hindi, is based on the insight that play processes have a positive effect on the mind and soul, hence the brand’s vision is to put play back into the lives of guests who have forgotten how to, with a stay designed to boost energy.
With the new opening representing a $20 million investment, Esin Gural Argat, Deputy Chairperson of Gürok Group, emphasised the project’s contribution to Turkey’s economy.
