A newly renovated bedroom in the Coach House at GuestHouse Bath

No.15 by GuestHouse, Bath reimagines Coach House

No.15 by GuestHouse, Bath is set to unveil the renovation of eight bedrooms in its Coach House this spring. Located behind the hotel’s main townhouse, the complex features a Gothic-stye frontage and quatrefoil windows, while its interiors blend heritage with modernity and artisanal touches that celebrate local creators.

Inspired by the building’s beginnings as a Georgian carriage house and taking the lead of the main house, the new bedrooms honour their conception with a contemporary twist. Guests are greeted by calming deep olive greens and uplifting candy pink tones, while nods to the property’s Georgian heritage are channelled through a collection of vintage lamps adorning the hallway and glazed, panelled timber partitions handmade on site.

Warmly lit hallways open into light-filled bedrooms, where colour palettes are softer and paired with dark wood floorings. Natural materials of stained oak, ceramic tiles, raw linens and metal finishings create a cocooning environment that contrasts with the hotel’s richly colourful and charming communal spaces.

With a strong commitment to championing local makers and creators, GuestHouse has selected finishes, fittings and furniture that spotlight Somerset-based creatives. The bathroom vanity units are crafted by Walcot Fabrication, while local upholsterer Gabriela Turnbull has handmade the bed headboards, cushions and curtains. Bristol’s Young & Norgate are the masterminds behind the bespoke joinery and the newest iteration of GuestHouse’s help-yourself pantries inspired by Georgian food carts. The rooms also feature GuestHouse’s hallmark doll houses, which open to reveal a range of essential tea and coffee supplies.
