The Leinster is set to open its doors in January 2024 on the corner of Dublin’s Merrion Square.

The Leinster has been designed by Dublin-based architects ODAA, Henchion Reuter Architects and interior designers O’Donnell O’Neill Design to celebrate the heritage of the surrounding area. With a timeless aesthetic, inspired by its existing architecture and location, The Leinster will fuse old with new through bold, modern patterns and tactile materials.

The Leinster The Collins Club

The property will house 55 guest suites, The Collins Club bar and supper club, The O’Dwyer Suite event space, as well as Jean – Georges at The Leinster on the hotel’s rooftop. Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s culinary concept will see Irish classics blended with fresh French and Southeast Asian flavours, the ingredients sourced from local suppliers.

Each space at The Leinster has been marked by botanical artworks, with bedroom walls transformed into canvases and halls into galleries. Exhibiting both up-and-coming and established talent, artworks by Melissa O’Donnell (FKA O’Faherty), Paris-based Irish artist Colette Riet, and friend of The Leinster, Damien Hirst all contribute to a 300-piece selection. The art collection at The Leinster is a dynamic reflection of Ireland’s contemporary art scene.

The Leinster Jean Georges

“The Leinster is set to be a really exciting addition to Dublin’s hotel scene, as a luxurious lifestyle property,” says Bryan Davern, Director of Hotels at Press Up Hospitality. “The hotel has been designed to ignite guest’s curiosity, whether that be through the welcome on arrival and the experience at Jean – Georges, to that curated cocktail in The Collins Club or the art on the walls, we are bringing life to a property that is infused with style, personality, and design. In 2024, travellers are set to seek out immersive stays and prioritise cultural and food & drinks experiences more than ever. We are thrilled to be able to meet these needs, with the welcome of Jean-Georges to Dublin, and our commitment to art, culture and design informing all aspects of our hotel.”

Melanie Nocher, General Manager of The Leinster, adds: “Modern bold designs flirt with local art and beautifully patterned fabrics; guests at The Leinster can expect a welcoming and personalised hotel experience which plays host to those after spur-of-the-moment luxurious city stays and longer lingering escapes to Ireland.”
