SLS Hotels & Residences has revealed more details about its European debut, set for April 2025. 

SLS Barcelona will find home in the waterside district of Port Fòrum. It will comprise 471 rooms and suites, six F&B venues, three pools, a spa and extensive events spaces.  

The property’s design is the result of creative collaboration between Ennismore’s AIME Studios, Avroko and Rockwell Group. The hotel will be set behind a striking, undulating façade that emulates the waves of the sparkling Mediterranean Sea, while interiors will be functional yet flamboyant. The brand’s design signatures will feature throughout, from a light-studded entrance hall to the use of richly textured fabrics and embellishments. 

This design narrative extends to the accommodation, which features design details including oversized headboards and mirrored glass and warm timber accents. Bathrooms are informed by white marbled details, clean white tiling and sculptural mirrors. In most rooms, balconies and terraces are positioned for guests to take in views over the marina and sea. 

SLS Barcelona will bring six new dining, drinking and nightlife concepts to Port Fòrum. Lora, an all-day restaurant featuring a large wood oven and coal-fired grill, will sit beside Bar L’Anxova Divina, an informal tapas bar that both pays homage to and elevates a neighbourhood staple. Crowning the hotel is Cosmico, a day-to-night pool bar and club set across one of the largest waterfront rooftops in Barcelona, while a post-modern cocktail bar is also set to join the city’s ranks. Deluxe, a lobby bar and Coral, a guest-only pool bar, round out the offer. 

Event spaces include a ballroom, extending to almost 800m² and flooded with natural light thanks to oversized windows and custom skylights. A dedicated events lobby leads to eight flexible private spaces, which can be hired individually or collectively. 

Wellness facilities meanwhile include three pools and a wellness centre caters, while a spa is set to join the party later in the season.
