First Look: Raffles at Galaxy Macau
Accor has unveiled a first look at Raffles at Galaxy Macau, set for its first phase of opening in August 2023. The opening marks the seventh hospitality brand to land at the sprawling estate that is Galaxy Macau, and will bring 450 new suites to the integrated resort.
Guests will have access to several dining venues from August, while a grand opening – which will include the remaining signature restaurants, bar and a spa – is expected towards the end of the year.
Raffles at Galaxy Macau is set to blend the refinement and tradition of the Raffles brand with the dynamic energy of Galaxy Macau. Located on the resort’s east promenade, the property features a digital canvas with a glass airbridge, connecting the two towers on every floor and offering views of the Macau skyline.
The hotel has been designed to reflect Macau’s rich East-Meets-West heritage and modern-day vibrancy, with suites inspired by the aesthetic of a modern Italian palace. Elsewhere across the hotel, guests will find a Mediterranean-inspired pool terrace and garden elevated over Galaxy Macau’s Grand Resort Deck.
Raffles Lounge & Terrace takes centre stage at the lobby and will offer a tailored take on traditional afternoon tea. The jewel in the crown at the hotel’s champagne and oyster bar, set beneath a vast chandelier, will be the Million Dollar Cocktail – a heritage creation by Raffles bartender Ngiam Tong Boon in 1910. On the sixth floor, Belvedere will offer international delicacies in a unique glass pool house setting.
Chef Masaaki Miyakawa will helm a new signature Sushi-Kappo concept as well as a new Teppan restaurant for the new hotel, which will also be home to a local twist on the signature Raffles Long Bar, designed by Joyce Wang.
The new Raffles site will open its doors at Galaxy Macau alongside the likes of JW Marriott Hotel Macau, The Ritz-Carlton, Macau, Broadway Hotel and the soon-to-open Andaz Macau.
