A new wellness-focused resort is set for the shores of Crete. Opening in June 2023, Pnoé Breathing Life will form part of the new Greek-owned MK Hotel Collection.
Located on the northern coast of Crete, the beachfront resort will comprise 60 suites, each with private pools. Seeking to create a range of calm spaces, designers have opted for subdued colours palettes and materials like wood and stone throughout the property. Across guestrooms, Modernist decor encourages guests to clear their minds and relax in a fresh and open space.
Stepping outside, guests will find an outdoor setting that centres around their swimming pool. Colours and textures complement the surrounding sea and mountain views, channelling the aura of the Cretan landscape.
Communal areas are imbued with their own identity too. Warm, earthy tones colour Cretan fine dining in Thymises, where an open kitchen creates a relaxed and convivial space. At rooftop bar Uranos meanwhile, lush greenery accompanies panoramic views.
Pnoé Breathing Life– the first word of which translates as ‘breath of life’ in Greek – will operate with wellness at its core. Programmes including hyperbaric oxygen therapy and breathwork therapy will be available to guests, alongside the opportunity to visit the resort’s waterfalls, Himalayan salt stones, wood-fired sauna and ice fall.
